Well as you know there is no short of people who complain about the massive amounts of DM's being sent via Caltweet's invite feature it is a good and bad thing. So we decided to address that and other things in the process of updates, bugs, and feature additions and fixes.

Many people think creating more and more of the same Caltweets aka Duplicate Events will help it get seen more, but it actually has a reverse affect, because users see it as spam and tired of seeing the same event with a different link. It also does nothing for the appearance of your event on Caltweet. Why have 5 of the same events with 200-300 views and 30 RSVP's when you can have one event with 3000-6000 views and over 200 RSVP's which looks better? Sending out multiple DM's doesn't help either, because users click less when they see the same event with just a different link it does nothing for the user or the event creator.

New Restrictive Features:

• You can't send DM's back to back. There is a 15 minute wait in between sending DM's.
• NO ONE twitter user can receive the same event invite from the same Caltweet user
• Say you send 250 invites today and you decide to send another 250 tomorrow. Caltweet randomizes how they're sent so different users get invites from you and not the same 250, because Twitter restricts users to 250 DM's per day then you go to Twitter Jail for Direct Messages for the day.

Things that will get you banned:

• Be clear: No one user should ever create two of the SAME event. Not saying you can't create multiple events, but you can't create duplicate events. Meaning they can't have the same flyer/details as one of your other events from the SAME Caltweet user account. Your team can create the same Caltweet event from EACH of their accounts. Its really best just to create one and share it with your different accounts.
• Posting music on the site or links to porn sites. We like to make sure that you know this is an event sharing site.
• Trying to game the system! Will get you banned. I have somebody watching the site 24hrs a day to watch for spamming users and they will ban you and investigate the problem later.
